2011 Hyundai Elantra is Sleek and Fuel Efficient
The 5th generation of Hyundai Elantra has been completely redesigned. It has a flowing wave-like exterior design, better quality and better fuel economy with more features. The 2011 Elantra is a major player in the compact car market with Chevrolet Cruze, Ford Focus, Toyota Corolla, Hinda Civic, Mazda 3 and Volkswagon Jetta.
The Elantra now rides on a 106.3-inch wheelbase and is powered by a new 1.8-liter four-cylinder with 148 hp. The all-aluminum DOHC engine with variable valve timing paired with 6-speed manual or automatic transmission delivers EPA rating of 29 mpg city and 40 mpg highway. The new Hyundai Elantra features six airbags, 4-wheel ABS, and an intelligent Vehicle Stability Management system - to keep you safer than ever.
It has more interior space than the Toyota Corolla and the Honda Civic. It has options like front and rear heated seats, leather seating surfaces and even a 360-Watt audio system.
There are still reminders that despite the dramatic bodywork and luxury-car equipment, the all-new Elantra is an economy car. The new engine makes high-pitched racket at high rpm and the ride is not smooth like some of the competitors, Ford Focus.
