Napa Emergency Women's Service (NEWS)

NEWS was established in 1981 and remains the ONLY organization in Napa County exclusively dedicated to providing critical, emergency assistance to battered women and their children. NEWS protects our community's most vulnerable women and children by providing essential services and life-protecting confidential sanctuary from the terrifying violence that rips through their lives. Domestic violence crosses all social and economic lines; however, 80-90% of our clients are low to very low income. All of our services are provided without charge to our clients and are available in both Spanish and English.

We are conveniently located in Napa Valley (just off of Highway 29), making us your most convenient Napa, Vallejo or Petaluma Nissan dealer. Whether you're searching for a new or used car, researching financing options, or looking for a quick quote on a vehicle, we are ready to provide you with all the help you need.

Volunteer Center of Napa Valley

The employees and volunteers of the Volunteer Center of Napa Valley have connected caring individuals to people who need help for 30 years! Started in 1974, the Center is an IRC sec. 501(c)(3) private non-profit. Our programs have been developed to meet the ever-changing needs of our community and incorporate and promote opportunities to serve through volunteerism.

We live our core value of volunteerism through our commitment to providing services to existing community-based organizations. Historically, we have taken an extra step in building the capacity of Napa County to provide for its most vulnerable populations. When the community identified a gap in service, the Volunteer Center of Napa Valley stepped up with innovative programs.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Napa Valley

Founded in 1956, Boys & Girls Clubs of Napa Valley (BGCNV) serves over 600 youth and teens per day at 6 neighborhood Clubhouses. Dedicated to helping kids from disadvantaged circumstances, BGCNV provides a broad range of programs to inspire young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. As state financial support to schools dwindles, the Clubs provide opportunities for at-risk youth to gain access to a wide variety of programs and activities, from technology and leadership skills to gang-prevention and intervention to fine arts and athletics. BGCNV also offers access to daily homework assistance and tutoring, as well as specialized programs for young girls and teens.

Children’s Health Initiative Napa County

The Children's Health Initiative (CHI) Napa County was launched in 2005 to ensure that all children in our community have access to comprehensive, quality healthcare. Community and business leaders, healtcare providers, educators, child advocates and foundations have come together to creat an innovative, public-private partnership that offers an effective and lasting solution to the healthcare crisis for our most vulnerable children and families.
